Dwayne Dennis Winborn was born May 10, 1963 in Murphysboro, Illinois.  However, he spent most of his childhood in Decatur, Illinois.
 

At the age of 17, Dr. Winborn's mother passed away.  It was at this time that he found the Lord and was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost at First Church of God in Christ in Decatur, IL.  He served in the church as an usher and also sang, taught Sunday school, and served his pastor.
 

At the age of 19, he received his call to the ministry under the leadership of the late Pastor Fred Warren of House of Faith C.O.G.I.C.  Dr. Winborn began to grow in the Kingdom throughout the early 80's.  At this time, he began to travel and follow the ministry of the late Dr. Theresa Martin, who lived in Fort Worth, Texas while also preaching and serving in the ministry.
 

After a shut in at the church, at the age of 22, God begin to instruct him to go into full-time ministry.  Doors started to open as Dr. Winborn began to travel around the United States, preaching at churches, army bases, and college campuses. God blessed him to speak at Oral Roberts University for 8 consecutive years.  It was one of his most memorable times ministering to the students on the campus there.

After several years of traveling, The Lord again spoke to Dr. Winborn at the age of 25 and instructed him to begin pastoring.  God led him to Kankakee, Illinois.  Shortly after, he and his family left Decatur and started the ministry in Kankakee in 1988.

 

Dr. Winborn has ordained several to the office of pastor throughout his time as a leader. Dr. Winborn has pastored for 27 years.

In 2006, Dr. Winborn began to study hermeneutics, biblical studies, and theology courses for over 5 years. In 2012, he received his Doctorate in Biblical Studies under Living Faith School of Ministry.

In 2009, Dr. Winborn began WINBORN SOUND, designed to help ministries acquire quality sound. This is one of his greatest passions.

Dr. Winborn is called to build up the local body by imparting the teaching of revelation knowledge in the local church, strengthening its vision and purpose in the Kingdom of God.  In 2015, he returned to traveling and speaking across the country to help other ministries grow.

 
In 2016, Dr. Winborn started his own bible college, THE TIMOTHY BIBLE SCHOOL.

 

Dr. Winborn has one daughter, Tamara who is married with 2 children.
